The Chinese phone manufacturer Lenovo, has launched a new smartphone in India named as S580. The phone is exclusively available for purchase on Snapdeal at Rs 8,999 (approximately $150 USD, NGN 27,500 Nairas).

The smartphone support dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) and runs the dated Android 4.3 Jelly bean out-of-the-box which the firm claims is upgradeable to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The Lenovo S580 features a 5-inch IPS display with a HD resolution of 720×1280 pixels and packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, clocked at 1.2GHz along with 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone touts an 8-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and houses 2-megapixel front camera. There is 8GB built-in storage onboard that is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wifi, 3G, A-GPS, FM radio and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,150mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 444 hours of standby.
Last month, Lenovo launched Sisley S90 in China at $330 USD. The phone features 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. It is driven by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 chipset coupled with 1GB of RAM. The Sisley S90 support NFC and 3G connectivity.
