HTC Launches Desire 820s With Octa-Core MediaTek SoC And Android KitKat OS

HTC has unveiled a new variant of its Desire 820 in china named as Desire 820s. The firm made the announcement on Tuesday via Weibo but hasn’t reveal its pricing and availability. Last week, the phone leaked on TENAA along with Desire 816h but with model name of Desire 820us.

The Desire 820s features almost same specifications when compare with Desire 820, besides the first running a 64-bit MediaTek processor while the later runs 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Specifications:

The Desire 820s features a 5.5-inch HD display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat. As mentioned earlier, it is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, clocked at 1.7GHz along with 2GB of RAM. There’s 16GB built-in storage onboard that can be expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash, and 8-megapixel front camera. On the connectivity front, the HTC Desire 820s support Bluetooth, FM radio, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS and Micro-USB. It packs a 2,600mAh battery
