Sony Launches Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact – Features And Specifications

The IFA event started on Wednesday and many tech industries have been showcasing their latest inventions. As part of the group, Sony has unveil a new Android tablet, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. While pricing details has not been revealed by firm, the tablet is said to be available in Autumn 2014.

The new Z3 tablet features an 8-inch TRILUMINOS display with a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. The display is also powered by X-Reality for best graphics viewing. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.

Under the hood is a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, slammed with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is waterproof and dustproof certified with IP65/IP68 ratings, it sports an 8.1-megapixel rear camera, and a 2.2-megapixel front camera for video chat. Connectivity options included with the device are 4G LTE, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 4500mAh.

The new Z3 Tablet Compact will be available in two variants – LTE version and WIFI-only version.
