Chroma Launch Two New Windows 8.1 Tablets With Intel Processor

Chroma has launched two new Windows 8.1 running devices in India, the Chroma 1179 tablet and Chroma 1177 2-in-1 hybrid tablet. Both devices are priced at Rs 13,990 (approx $233) and 21,990 (approx $366) respectively. The Chroma 1177 2-in-1 hybrid tablet comes with a detachable keyboard, while the first does not.

The Chroma 1179 features an 8-inch display with a screen resolution of 1280×800 pixels and 160ppi pixel density. As mentioned earlier, it runs Windows 8.1 and comes with 32GB of built-in storage which is expandable via MicroSD.

The new Chroma 1179 tablet is powered by an Intel Atom Z3735D (Bay Trait-T) processor clocked at 1.33GHz, slammed with 2GB of RAM. It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera, and 2-megapixel secondary front camera for video calling. It is backed by a 5000mAh battery.

Unlike the Chroma 1179, the Chroma 1177 2-in-1 hybrid tablet features a larger display of 10.1-inch and also runs Windows 8.1 out-of-the-box. It is powered by 1.3GHz Intel Atom Z3735D SoC, same processor that powered its sibling.

The new Chroma 1177 Windows hybrid tablet sports a 2-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera, and 2-megapixel front-facing camera is also onboard. Connectivity options included with the device are 3G and WiFi.
