Few days ahead of its launching, Samsung has begin to take pre-orders for its new Galaxy smartphone in China, the Galaxy A9 Star. The device first surfaced earlier week but has now been listed on the company official website, revealing all of its specifications. There is also a smaller variant of the device dubbed Galaxy A9 Star Lite which comes with a lower specs and pricing.
The Galaxy A9 Star features a 6.28-inch AMOLED display while its lite model comes with a smaller 6-inch AMOLED display, both flaunting Full HD+ resolution. The former has a Snapdragon 660 chipset, 4GB RAM, 24MP+16MP dual rear camera, and a 3700mAh battery; but the later is powered by a Snapdragon 450 chipset and includes 4GB RAM, 16MP+5MP dual rear camera, and a 3500mAh battery.

Both phones are equipped with a fingerprint sensor at the back, has dedicated dual SIM slot, and runs Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung Experience UI on top.
The Galaxy A9 Star Lite is the same Galaxy A6+ that was introduced last month.

Samsung has changed the pricing details of the Galaxy A9 Star and Galaxy A9 Star Lite for the Chinese. The phones are now listed for CNY 2999 ($480) and CNY 1999 ($320), respectively.
