“They are in the police custody, and we are on the move to arrest other suspects,” the Police chief said.
Meanwhile, upon interrogation by journalists at the state police Command, both men denied the allegation and insisted they are students of the Theatre Department at the University of Port Harcourt and were picked up at a movie production set.
The duo in an interview said the wooden gun was given to them by a lecturer who has also indicated interest to defend them anywhere.
Samuel Bob said: “I contacted the DPO in Choba to grant us permission to use a real gun for production but he said no. So I approached my lecturer who gave me the guns as probs for the movie production and promised his license will cover for us”.
He said the Police did not allow him access to his phone to contact the said lecturer when they arrested him.
