The club have announced that as well as the goalkeeper, Jardel (right knee sprain) and Samaris (Achilles tendinitis) will also miss the fixture.

Benfica are finalising preparations for the Champions League clash away to PAOK on Tuesday in the third qualifying round.

Svilar’s positive result comes on the same day that Sporting Lisbon confirmed three members of their squad have the virus without revealing their identities.
