Girl Allegedly Stabs Younger Brother to Death In Rivers State Over Sugar Cane Dispute

A 14-year-old boy was allegedly killed with a knife by his elder sister, 17-year-old Chinazor Mercy on Sunday. The reason she gave for stabbing her younger brother was simply that he refused to share his sugarcane with her. This information is according to sources who revealed it to newsmen.

The incident according to sources happened at their family compound at the Ogbogu community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.

An eyewitness told some reporters that her father attempted to stop her when she started chasing her brother with a knife but she allegedly bit him.

“That made the boy start crying and shouting at the sister that she had killed him. And blood was flowing,” the eyewitness recounted.

Our source said the girl ran away from the community after seeing the outcome of her action. It is not certain if she has been found at the time of filing this report.

The boy has reportedly been buried.
