#COVID-19: Over 38 Million Cases Recorded Worldwide As Nigeria Records 225 New Cases

A total of 225 new cases of COVID-19, were recorded across Nigeria on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
This brings in a total of 60,655 cases that have now been detected since February when the first case was recorded in Nigeria. This figure is according to the latest update by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Lagos being the epicenter of the virus in the country, recorded the highest number of new cases with 165, this was followed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja with 17, Rivers with 13, and Ogun with 12.

Other states where new cases were recorded are Niger (8), Delta (4), Ondo (2), Anambra (1), Edo (1), Ekiti (1), and Kaduna (1).

So far, 63 patients who have recovered from COVID-19 were discharged on Tuesday, raising the number of recoveries to 52,006.

The total number of new deaths recorded was 3 raising the death toll to 1,116.

As at the time of filing this report, the coronavirus cases recorded in the world are 38,363,609 with 1,090,811 deaths and 28,850,085 recoveries.

The United States of America holds the record for the highest number of cases followed by India and Brazil comes in third.
