The suspected head of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB Stanley Mgbere, who was proclaimed needed by the Rivers State Government for allegedly executing savagery in Onne, Eleme Local Government Area, has denied being a member of the prohibited group.
Governor Nyesom Wike had set an N50m bounty on Mgbere’s head for any individual who could give any data that would prompt his capture, saying he drove IPOB individuals to cause brutality in Onne.

However, talking from his hiding place in a video posted on Facebook, Mgbere said the information given to Governor Wike about him was not true.
He said however he was essential for the #EndSARS fight in Onne, it was a peaceful one like what occurred in different pieces of the nation, noticing that he was a free-conceived from Onne.
He expressed, “What occurred in Onne was a tranquil dissent and it was not done by just the network; it was finished by Nigerians. However, at long last, they said I am an individual from IPOB. I am not an individual from the IPOB. I am a full indigene of the Onne tribe, which everyone knows.
“I am not mindful of what they are stating and I am not mindful of what they are telling the lead representative. Kindly right now, I am asking the lead representative not to tune in to anything they are letting him know since they are on the whole lies.
“I ask on the majority and ask everyone to share this video on the grounds that my hands are perfect. I recognize what I am confronting at this moment, yet I will never surrender. Thanks, much, and God favor all of you.”
In the interim, the police in Rivers State have said they captured 21 suspected individuals from the prohibited Indigenous People of Biafra for allegedly attacking four police stations, during which three policemen were slaughtered.
The Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan, during a press conference at the order central command in Port Harcourt on Monday, said the police, as a team with sister security offices, had reestablished request in the most noticeably terrible hit Oyigbo Local Government Area and different spots.

Mukan gave the names of the killed officers as Inspector Sunday Dubon, Sergeant Swawale Ornan, and Sergeant Umunna Uchechukwu.
