FG Declares Thursday As Public Holiday To Commemorate Eidul-Mawlid

The Federal Government has declared Thursday, October 29, 2020, a public holiday, as per the Ministry of Interior.

A statement by the Ministry on Tuesday, October 27 said that the holiday is to stamp the current year’s Eidul-Mawlid festivity in celebration of the introduction of the Holy Prophet Muhammad loved by Muslims.

The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, ordered Muslims to assimilate the soul of adoration, tolerance, and constancy which are the ethics of Prophet Muhammad.

The holiday returns on the of the breakout of brutality in the nation with murder, attack, and plundering occurring in numerous states since security agents terminated on quiet dissenters in Lagos.
