Lagos State Governor Budgets N10 billion For Lagos Youths

Lagos governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, says his government is focused on improving commitment with the youthful population in the state.

During his introduction of the 2021 budget before the Lagos State House of Assembly on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, Sanwo-Olu communicated stress over the ascent of substance abuse among youths.

He noticed that youths must be painstakingly supported to get to the opportunities for monetary and social development that have large amounts of Lagos.

“Our formative vision will be inadequate without a dynamic, competent, and solid youth population to take the twirly doo of administration when we leave the scene,” he said.

Sanwo-Olu said his government has made it basic to expand its money related promise to youth coaching, emotional well-being backing, and recovery.

The 55-year-old said a complete activity plan will be disclosed soon to address the issue which he said is basic and must be handled by all significant partners including guardians and gatekeepers.

The governor said he plans to develop the trust of the youths to get them to grasp participatory administration.

He stated, “We should do everything we can to deflect them from cybercrime and different indecencies.

“Thus, we have proposed a portion of about N10 billion in the budget for this activity in the 2021 budget.”

The governor introduced the 2021 assignment bill of N1.155 trillion to Lagos officials on Tuesday evening.

He initiated the bill “Budget of Rekindled Hope”, an impression of his organization’s longing to transcend the difficulties of COVID-19 and the ongoing decimation that destroyed Lagos after a brutal crackdown on #EndSARS protesters.
