No less than 17 inmates of the Nigeria Correctional Service in Kano State have sat for the West Africa Senior Secondary School Examination and National Examination Council external examinations.
The State Controller, NCS, Suleiman, who expressed this Wednesday, clarified that two of the inmates sat for the external exams this year (2020) while 15 others sat for the exams in 2019.

The regulator additionally said the administration was taking a shot at a joint effort with the National Open University of Nigeria and that 10 inmates have applied for admission.
He further said the administration additionally had a skills acquisition program in the office.
He stated, “We have a fitting, carpentry, and welding workshops in the remedial offices at Kano Central and Goron Dutse.”
