Some Inmates Who Escaped From Prison In Edo State Rearrested While Committing Other Crimes

The Edo State Police Command has paraded 18 escaping inmates who got away after the ongoing jailbreaks at the two Medium Security Correctional Centers in Benin City during the #EndSARS protests.

Johnson Kokumo, the state Commissioner of Police, said the vast majority of the escapees were recaptured while perpetrating different violations.

Two of the escaping inmates were re-captured in Ondo State while another was re-captured in Lagos.

The police likewise paraded 14 presumed outfitted looters and 16 speculated cultists who have purportedly been important for the killings across Benin City.

Mr. Kokumo said the improvement was important for the recuperation cycle and building public certainty after the #EndSARS protests and the close to the breakdown of lawfulness.

Mr. Kokumo said a portion of the presumed burglars were among the theft posses that have been threatening occupants in Benin City.
