Lenovo Miix 630 “Always Connected” PC with Snapdragon 835 Announced

Lenovo has launched its first “Always Connected” 2-in-1 detachable laptop at the ongoing CES event in Las Vegas called Miix 630. The firm has partnered with Qualcomm to announce the device. The Miix 630 is the company’s first laptop to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 Mobile PC Platform. It is here to compete with HP Envy x2 and Asus NovaGo, both of which were also powered by Snapdragon 835.

The Miix 630 runs Microsoft striped-down version of Windows 10, Windows 10 S out-of-the-box, but an upgrade option to Windows 10 Pro is provided. It comes with integrated 4G LTE modem that lets users browse on the go, eliminating the compulsory use of Wi-Fi in accessing the internet.

Moving on, the 2-in-1 detachable features a 12.3-inch touchscreen with WUXGA+ (1920×1200) pixel resolution and multitouch supports. It comes bundled with Lenovo digital pen that offers 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity, letting users draw, sketch and write on the brilliant display. The Miix 630 comes with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

The bundled detachable keyboard is backlit and can be paired in no time. It has an IR camera that supports Windows Hello Facial Recognition for password-free login and USB Type-C for wired connection. Battery included is claimed to provide up to 20 hours of video playback.

The Lenovo Miix 630 pricing starts at $799 USD with digital pen and keyboard included. It will be available in Q2 2018.
