The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has said the ongoing #EndSARS protest in Nigeria was pointed toward removing President Muhammadu Buhari from office.
Mr. Adamu made the case, Tuesday, in Port Harcourt, during a meeting between the leaders of the South-south district and an appointment from Nigeria’s administration, as per a press statement from the Rivers State Government House.

“Adamu affirmed that knowledge has affirmed that the EndSARS protest was financed from the inside and outside the nation,” said the statement gave by Governor Nyesom Wike’s media assistant, Kelvin Ebiri.
“He further added that one of the essential destinations of the protest was to impact a system change,” the statement said.
The police boss said counterfeit news offered “impulse” to the protests which went on for quite a long time.
In opposition to Mr. Adamu’s case, the youngsters and ladies who partook in the notable protest basically requested a finish to police severity in Nigeria.
Nigeria’s common liberties record has significantly weakened since President Buhari was reappointed in 2015.
In a meeting, prior in November, where the police boss, Mr. Adamu was in participation, governors from northern Nigeria had made a comparable case that the #EndSARS protesters needed a “system change”.
The northern governors, whose report was perused by their administrator, Simon Lalong, the governor of Plateau State, said “uncontrolled web-based media” helped in getting out phony news and had filled the protest.
They required the guideline of online media in Nigeria.

Among those present at the meeting were: Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State; Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State; Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State; Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State; and Godwin Obaseki of Edo State.
Others were Godswill Akpabio, Minister of Niger Delta; Timipre Sylva, Minister of State for Petroleum; Goddy Agba, Minister of State, Power; Festus Keyamo, Minister of State, for Labor and Employment; Osagie Ehanire, Minister of Health; Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information.
The Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi was, nonetheless, missing at the meeting.
