Xiaomi has officially launched Redmi 5 and Redmi Plus, the company’s latest mid-end smartphones and the successors of Redmi 4 series. These comes with the trending 18:9 FullScreen display and runs MIUI 9 based Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
The Redmi 5 features a 5.7-inch HD+ display and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset; while the Plus model features a larger more brilliant 5.99-inch Full HD+ display and is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset.

Both device has dedicated dual SIM slots; sports 12MP+5MP front and rear cameras, and comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor at the back.
