The popular Nigeria singer Niniola whose real name is Niniola Apata was born into a polygamous family where she was the sixth of ten children, all the ten children of that family were raised by three mothers.

However, she is the senior sister to Teni who is also a music star in the Nigerian music industry.

She was born and raised in Lagos and her father was killed when she was a little child in the year 1995.
