Lagos Govt Shuts Down Schools Indefinitely, Directs Civil Servants To Work From Home

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has coordinated that all government and private schools in the state be shut down until further notice.

This forms part of the public health directives issued by the governor on Friday, as the state government plans for a second wave of the coronavirus pandemic.

He additionally coordinated all public servants from Grade Level 14 and beneath, with the exception of emergency workers and people on call, to work from home for the next 14 days starting from Monday next week – in the first instance.

The governor, who tested positive for COVID-19 recently and said he was improving constantly, focused on that shows, carnivals, and road parties were prohibited in Lagos until further notice.

As indicated by him, night clubs have not been permitted to open yet and all clubs in the state should be shut down uncertainly with prompt impact.

Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed that the 12 am to 4 am curfew forced by the Federal Government stayed set up, and the convention of ‘No Mask No Entry’ should be authorized by all public places, for example, workplaces, organizations, markets, and shops, among others.
