Olamide Biography

Olamide was born into the family of Adedeji on the 15th day of March 1989 in Bariga, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Olamide had his primary and secondary education studied in his hometown, Lagos State. Before moving all the way to Ogun state to study Mass communication at the Tai Solarin University of Education in Ijebu, Ogun State.

Olamide Career

Olamide had started exploring his music career right from his days in primary school when he discovered he has the talent for music.

Olamide around 2010, was signed into Coded Tunes, a record label owned and managed by the popular music artiste and producer, ID Cabasa.

While at the record label, Olamide released quite a lot of good music such as eni duro, a rap song he released in 2010, which went so viral and made him become known to most people and brought Olamide into the limelight.

Olamide in 2011, released his first debut studio album which was titled Rapsodi. The album contained 13 tracks from the artiste alongside some other guest appearances of some other popular artistes such as Pheelz, Wizkid, 9ice, Reminisce, ID Cabasa, and others.

In 2012, Olamide created his own record label which he named YBNL Nation.

According to him, the YBNL is an acronym for the phrase “Yahoo Boy, No Laptop”.

YBNL now happens to be one of the biggest record labels in the country where the likes of Fireboy DML, Yomi Blaze, DJ Enimoney, YBNL Mafia, and many others are signees.

Olamide released his second album the same year he founded YBNL Nation, 2012, and he titled the album YBNL.

The album also welcomed some guest artistes in some of the tracks and they are; Davido, Tiwa Savage, Dammy Krane, Reminisce, and many other music artists, and the album was produced by Samklef, 2 Kriss, Pheelz, and the legendary ID Cabasa.

Olamide is now one of the biggest rappers in the Nigerians music industry and also quite a lot of talented singers in his label, YBNL Nation.

Olamide is not yet married but has two girlfriends (baby mama) with whom he had given birth to three children.

Olamide’s first girlfriend was Adebukumi Aisha Suleiman who had given birth to two sons namely; Batifeori Maximilliano Adedeji and Tunrepin Myles Adedeji.

While Olamide’s second girlfriend who goes by the name, Maria Okanrende, had given birth to just one daughter, Asaiah Monife Maria, who also happens to be Olamide’s only female daughter as of now.
