LG K7i is an Android Phone That Can Chase Your Mosquitoes Away

LG has introduced a new Android phone in India called K7i. It comes with entry-level specs but feature a very useful piece of tech that most Indian customers will find useful in their day-to-day living. The phone major highlight is its built-in Mosquito Away technology, which creates an inaudible ultrasonic sound frequency that repels mosquitoes and keep them away from the host at a respectable distance.

The “Mosquito Away” is a hardware entrusted on a separate back cover that can be swap with the bundled normal back cover when not in use. According to LG, “the K7i is the first smartphone in the world to have this technology.”

Specwise, the K7i has a 5.0-inch IPS On-Cell display with FWVGA (854×480) pixel resolution. It is powered by an unspecified 1.1GHz quad-core processor (probably Snapdragon 210), coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The limited storage can be expanded by an user via a MicroSD slot provided, with supports of up to 32GB of additional storage.

The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box; has a fingerprint sensor on the back, and comes with dedicated dual SIM slots that can accommodates two SIM cards at a time, while it also offers 4G VoLTE. In optics, it sports an 8-megapixel rear-facing autofocus camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera for video calling and selfie.

Connectivity options included apart from 4G VoLTE are Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is fuelled by a 2500mAh battery.

The LG K7i costs Rs 7,990 ($120). It will be available in Brown color when it go on sale in India in coming days.
