The Federal Controller of Works Lagos, Mr. Olukayode Popoola on Wednesday reported an additional three days of a complete shutdown of the Third Mainland Bridge for another round of delicate expansion joints replacement.
Popoola told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the telephone that the shutdown would begin from midnight on Friday to midnight on Monday, Feb. 1.

He clarified that construction works had arrived at the stage for projecting cement on extra three expansion joints, thus the need to stop all constructions on the bridge that could cause vibrations.
He said that the 72 hours conclusion was to guarantee that the solid sets appropriately during the relieving cycle’s to make the restoration works awesome and strong.
He offered for the comprehension of Lagos occupants saying that, the Muhammadu Buhari organization was enthusiastic about quality framework conveyance and security of street clients.
“Messers Boroni Prono is intending to project three number expansion joints on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st.

NAN reports that the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, which is experiencing an arrangement of fixes, must be halfway closed on July 24 for another round of recovery works.
