Samsung has added a new smartphone under its “Galaxy” line-up in India called Galaxy J7 NXT (SM-J701F). The phone has almost identical specs with Galaxy Wide 2 that was introduced in South Korea in May this year.
It is clad in a sleek plastic that measures 152.4 x 78.6 x 7.6mm, lined around the edges with an aluminium frame. The device features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution of 1280×720 pixel, and underneath the display panel is an unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz (probably Exynos 7870), slammed with 2GB of RAM.

Android 7.0 Nougat governs all software activities and there are two SIM slots onboard with dual-Standby.A 16GB of storage resides inside, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via MicroSD card. In optics, the Galaxy J7 NXT harbors a 13-megapixel autofocus rear-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash, capable of recording 1080p video, while a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture is placed at the front for taking selfie.
On the connectivity front, the phone supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, 3G, 2G, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB. It weighs 170 grams and is backed by a 3000mAh battery. The Galaxy Wide 2 packed a 3300mAh battery, their only difference.
The phone is available in Gold and Black colors at select stores across India for Rs 11,490 (US$180).
