The severally leaked “Project Scorpio” by Microsoft today has been officially announced as XBox One X at E3 2017. The gaming device is claimed as the “world’s most powerful console” and one of the slimmest ever built by Microsoft—offering 40-percent of more computing power when compared with other consoles (The PlayStation 4 Pro comes to our mind).
The XBox One X supports full 4K gaming with High Dynamic Range (HDR), thanks to its 12GB GDDR5 GPU that can process 6 Teraflops of memory bandwidth at 326GB per second. It is powered by an octa-core AMD processor with 2.3GHz clock speed, paired with 8GB of flash memory and 1TB of HDD storage.

The driving force of the processor combined with the high graphics may consume power at the outermost scale, Microsoft thought likewise, so, to combat this issue the firm implements “Hovis Method”, a cutting edge digital power delivery system that custom tunes each console’s voltage without limiting the processor performance.
In addition, the XBox One X uses advanced liquid cooling and supercharger-style centrifugal fan to keep heats generated during heavy gameplay as minimum as possible. For immersive audio, the console is loaded with DTS 5.1, Dolby Digital 5.1 with TrueHD and Atmos, and PCM (2.0, 5.1, 7.1).

In connectivity, it has 3x USB 3.0 ports, 2x HDMI ports (1 HDMI 1.4b in, 1 HDMI 2.0b out), S/PDIF, Ethernet port, Power port, and IR out. It also supports Bluetooth with a dedicated button placed at the front to turn it on/off, and WiFi (dual band). A 4K UHD Blu-ray Optical Disc Drive is not left out as well.
During the launching, Microsoft said all existing XBox One games is compatible with the new XBox One X, including XBox Play Anywhere and Backward Compatibility accessories. The firm at the event also unveiled five new games that has been optimized to take advantage of its new console feature, State of Decay 2, Sea of Thieves, CrackDown 3, Forza 7 MotorSport, and Super Lucky’s Tale.
The XBox One X will be available globally at select markets starting from 7th of November. It will costs $499 in the United States, £449 in United Kingdom, €499 in Europe, AU$ 649 in Australia and CA$ 599 in Canada.
