Apple hosted an event on Tuesday to ushered in its latest smartphones, the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The eleventh series brings the new A13 Bionic chip onboard – a 7nm chipset that Apple claimed is 20% faster and 30% more efficient than A12 Bionic chip found on their predecessor. Also, the displays used on the new iPhones are brighter and are more optimized for lesser battery consumption.
Apple is still retaining the LCD Retina display for the iPhone 11, the least-specd and the cheapest among the three, while the Pro and Pro Max boasts of Super Retina OLED XDR display that can peak 1,200 nits of brightness – the highest brightness ever seen on iPhone. The OLED display supports wide-range of features including HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Apple has drop the 3D Touch Pressure sensitivity and instead opt-in for haptic touch feedback for its latest iPhones.

Another notable thing about the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max are their cameras. They are the first iPhones to have triple rear-facing cameras. The cameras are composed of 12MP wide-angle (main), 12MP ultra-wide angle (secondary), and 12MP telephoto (tertiary). Both the main and secondary cameras supports optical image stabilization and Dual Pixel AF.
The iPhone 11 settled for dual rear camera, 12MP wide-angle (main) and 12MP ultra-wide angle (secondary), with optical image stabilization and Dual Pixel AF supports as well. The front camera, however, are the same on all the three models. The phones are IP68 certified for their water and dust resistant abilities and they boot iOS 13 out-of-the-box. Moreover, facial recognition is the only biometric security provided on the new iPhones.
The battery that powered the iPhone 11 can deliver an hour longer compared to iPhone XR, while the Pro and Pro Max can deliver four hours and five hours longer compared to iPhone XS and XS Max, respectively, according to Apple. Fast charging have been elevated to 18W for the Pro models and Apple is including 18W power adapter with USB-C to lightning cable converter in the box, though the charging is done via the lightning ports.
