Samsung today launched a new Bluetooth headset called U Flex with flexible headband that can be bend/flex inward up to 100-degree, making it portable and compact enough to fit in small bags or pocket while minimizing easy breakage and lose of shape.
Targeted at audiophiles that are light in pocket, the headphones comes with two-way speaker units, each having a 11mm woofer system and 8mm tweeter that promise deep bass, mid and clear high. Its powerful sound units are further enhanced with a proprietary Scalable Codec Technology, which continuously analyze ambient interference from Wi-Fi signals to optimize audio performance while ensuring a stable Bluetooth connection with the paired device. This feature however, is only available for select Samsung smartphones running Android 7.0+ i.e Galaxy S8/S8+, Galaxy Note FE.

Moving on, the Samsung U Flex (EO-BG950) has press buttons that allows users to pause/play current playlist, increase/lower audio volumes, and turn the device on and off. It also have a dedicated “Features” or “Active” button that can be customized to work with Bixby (Samsung voice assistant), enabling users to use Bixby voice command service to operate the connected device. Besides Bixby, the Active button can also be configured to work with S Voice, Voice Recorder, S Health and other supported apps, that is if the connected smartphone supports these features. Samsung Level App let users further customized these features on their paired Android device.
The U Flex has a notification feature that alert users of incoming text or call via vibration, making sure they never miss what is most important. It is nano-coated using P2i technology to protect it from splash and battery the included is said to last up to 10 hours of music playback in a single charge. There is a Micro-USB port on the left to charge the inbuilt battery.
Painted in Blue, Black, and Ivory colors, the Bluetooth Headphones costs €79.90 (US$94). It is available in some European markets.
