David Moyes West Ham had moved across town to Stamford Bridge hoping to cause an upset at Chelsea, with Chelsea already on a losing streak.
Chelsea had lost in two consecutive games following a good run of games in which they went unbeaten in all competitions including the Champions League where they ran out as group leaders and almost won all the games of their group stage campaign.
But recently the Blues seem to have lost their mojo. The Blues were defeated by Everton 1-0. But it was a defeat in all angles as there was no way for the Blues in that game.

In midweek, they sought a response and though the response seemed to have come with the club scoring a goal in the game. Podence would score an amazing goal with much trickery, albeit with the officials making a wrong call in the build up to the goal.

The game would drag on, from the first half and onto the second half. Not until the 78th minute when Tammy Abraham scored a goal to calm the nerves at the game, before adding to his tally in the 80th minute.
Frank Lampard and indeed Chelsea fans would be happy that Chelsea could win and also keep a clean sheet. The Blues now prepare for a mouthwatering clash on Boxing day against Mikel Arteta’s struggling Arsenal.
