The Federal Government says it is set to get 20 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine in 2021.

The Executive Secretary, National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Faisal Shuaib, made this known on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at the presidential task force on COVID-19.

Shuaib said Nigeria is a member of COVAX, a global alliance, under the WHO umbrella, adding that 92 nations met up to guarantee access and also the safety of the vaccines.

He stated, “We are on course to get to the safe vaccine in the first quarter of 2021. We will use on the polio stage to guarantee successful conveyance of vaccines to our weak populace,”
