The Presidential Panel set up to check the excesses on Police Reforms has approved the five demands of Nigerians that participated in the #ENDSARS protest.
According to a statement released to newsmen today, the presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina stated that after the order by President Buhari to disband SARS, the IG of Police, Mohammed Adamu had a meeting with some stakeholders where they all agreed to meet the needs of Nigerians protesting.

He further stated that the Ministry of Police Affairs and also the Police Service Commission were all present at the meeting
The statement from the meeting signed by the IGP and Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Tony Ojukwu, reads in part;
After the disbandment of SARS, the Forum asks for the following steps to be taken immediately in order to restore public faith in the Police system. The Inspector-General of Police should direct all State Commands to stop the use of force against protesters; All protesters arrested should be released unconditionally; Open communication and outreach to citizens to establish trust and confidence and a roadmap for the implementation of the White Paper of the Presidential Panel on the Reform of the SARS.
The communique from the meeting also called for the training and retraining of the disbanded SARS officials before they are redeployed to other units of the force. They also suggested that the officers undergo a psychological evaluation.
The communiqué also stated that other sub-Committees will be supported by the National Human Rights Commission and other civil society organizations.
