Vivo has silently release a new entry-level smartphone with 4G VoLTE support in Malaysia under its “Y” series named Y25. The phone features a 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 854×480 pixel. Under the hood, it is powered by a 32-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor with 1.3GHz clock speed, slammed with 1GB of RAM and Mali 400 GPU.
The phone houses a 16GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card. Disappointingly, Vivo has chosen to use the long dated Android 5.1 Lollipop for its latest device topped with the company’s proprietary FunTouch 0S 2.1. The Y25 at the rear accommodates a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, while it comes equipped with a 2-megapixel camera at the front for video-calling and selfie.

The dual SIM enabled Vivo Y25 wears a price tag of MYR 499 (US$109) and is available in the region. Availability for global markets is not known.
