The minister of information and culture, Lai Mohammed discloses what the government is doing to rescue the Dapchi schoolgirl from Boko Haram captivity.
He further explained that the terrorist group boko haram is deliberately refusing to release Leah SHARIBU basically because she is a Christian, with them knowing fully well that there is division along the fragile religious line among Nigerians.
Leah Sharibu, a Christian, was among 110 female students of the Government Science Secondary School, Dapchi in Yobe state abducted by Boko Haram in 2018.

The Leah Sharibu’s case has received global attention because the other schoolgirls were released but Leah Sharibu still remains in the terrorist’s captivity because of her refusing to renounce her Christian faith.
The minister assured Nigerians that the federal government is making efforts through back channels to secure the release of the Dapchi schoolgirl and urged Nigerians not to fall into the game of the terrorists by looking at security matters from the standpoint of religion or ethnicity.
He told ChannelsTV that ” ”We must please be careful and more responsible in the way we look at issues. This is exactly what the terrorists want to do, set Muslims against Christians “
