“First” HMD Global Feature Nokia Phone Comes to India with Dual SIM

After successfully acquiring exclusive license to make Nokia branded phones, HMD Global launched its first feature phone in December last year called Nokia 150 along with Nokia 150 Dual SIM that can accommodates two SIMs at a time. Today, the company has bring the device to India and is now available for purchase in Black and White colors on FlipKart and Amazon India at Rs 2,059 (US$31).

The Nokia 150 Dual SIM, which is the one released in India today, features a 2.4-inch TFT display with QVGA (320×240) resolution. It runs Series 30+ operating system that supports Java applications and comes pre-installed with the popular Snake Xenzia classic game. Although the phone lacks internet service, it offers both Bluetooth 3.0 and USB connectivity for transferring and receiving files. It also has a MicroSD slot that can accept up to 32GB of storage capacity.

In photography, it comes equipped with a VGA (0.3-megapixel) rear camera with LED flash that can be use as touch-light, while it lacks a front camera. The Nokia 150 Dual SIM is pre-loaded with FM radio and MP3 player for entertainment. A 1,020mAh removable Li-ion battery included can renders up to 22 hours of talk time and 25 days of standby time. We expect it to launch in other markets including Nigeria soon.

HMD Global at Mobile World Congress in February launched a revamped edition of world’s most popular feature phone, Nokia 3310, featuring a colored display, a rear camera, and a 16MB expandable storage. The phone supports internet browsing via GPRS/EDGE and is backed with a battery that can last up 22 hours as well. It is expected to go on sale in Q2 2017.
