Genevieve Nnaji joins the Toronto International Film Festival’s list of 50 celebrated actors and filmmakers.
Nollywood star actress, Genevieve Nnaji has been unveiled as one of this year’s Toronto Film Festival ambassadors.
The celebrated filmmaker will join globally recognized filmmakers including Priyanka Chopra, Tatiana Maslany, Shamier Anderson among others for the festival which is scheduled to kick start virtually from September, 10 to September 19, 2020. The move to hold the first of its kind festival comes in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Deadline, the ambassadors will engage with audiences via an interactive digital experience.

Nnaji’s TIFF recognition comes barely months after she made the list of Academy members. The ‘Lionheart’ producer joined 819 other invitees alongside Nigerian director, Akin Omotoso on the exclusive list.
