Grammys Day: Nigerians Anxious to see Burna Boy Grab an Award

Last year Grammys award received loads of attention and buzz from Nigerians all around the world as Burna Boy was nominated for the “best world music album” which was won by Angelique Kidjo, a Beninese-American singer-songwriter, actress, and activist who is noted for her diverse musical influences and creative music videos.

This year, It is believed that Burna Boy has put in twice the effort of the previous year with the album “Twice As Tall”, which sees him being nominated again for Grammys award for the same category and now up against Antibalas, Bebel Gilberto, and Anoushka Shankar.

The social media space has been buzzing since Saturday about the Grammys award, as music fans have been talking and expecting Nigeria’s Burna Boy to bring home the award, as it appears that he is the favorite for this one.
