Philip Walter Foden is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Manchester City and the England national team.
The young England international who would be 21 years by May, 2021; is one of the youngsters whose development have blossomed under Pep Guardiola over the years.
The Catalan coach is well known for developing young players from their uncertain stages to fierce and decisive footballers, ranging from Lionel Messi, Thiago Alcantara, Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne and now Phil Foden.

Phil Foden who has over 80 appearances in the Premier League, has won eight honours including becoming the youngest recipient of a Premier League winners’ medal. In 2019, he won a second Premier League and became the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League, and is the youngest English player to both start a match and score in the knockout stages of the competition.
This season has saw Foden evolve from a squad player to one of the mainstays of Manchester City, with returning striker, Sergio Kun Aguero failing to drop Phil Foden to the bench.
The youngster continues to blossom, and his shine was also witnessed in the game against Chelsea where he scored and assisted, though Kevin De Bruyne took the shine.
