The Butterfly J that was launched in Japan in July has been made open to all Asian markets. The phone now known as Butterfly 2 will be available starting from September 2 in Taiwan, and from there to all Asian markets. However, pricing details is not yet announced.
The Butterfly 2 features a 5-inch S-LCD display with full-HD resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box overlay with the company’s Sense UI.
The new Butterfly 2 also known as J Butterfly is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, alongside with 2GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB built-in storage that is expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD.

Onboard is a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with dual LED flash, and it also sports a 5-megapixel front camera for selfie shot. The Butterfly 2 by HTC is dustproof and waterproof with IPX5 and IPX7 certification.
On the connectivity side, the Butterfly 2 comes with Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11ac, GPS/A-GPS, 4G LTE, NFC, and Micro-USB. It packs a 2700mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 643 hours of standby time.
