HTC aims to keep the ball rolling in India by launching a refreshed version of its Desire 816G smartphone, the Desire 816G 2015 Edition. The phone comes with a price tag of Rs 19,999 ($325 USD) and will be available in coming days.
The HTC Desire 816G 2015 Edition features almost identical specifications when compare with Desire 816G which was launched along with Desire 820 and Desire 820Q in November last year, except that the first packs a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek processor while the later is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor.

The Desire 816G (2015) features a 5-inch HD (720p) IPS display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box topped with the firm Sense 6 UI and Blinkfeed. It support dual-SIM functionality and packs a 16GB built-in storage which is expandable via MicroSD card.
The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear snapper with autofocus and LED flash while there’s also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera onboard. Connectivity options included with the Desire 816G 2015 Edition include Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, 3G, 2G, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2600mAh battery.
Earlier this week, the firm launched Desire 526G+ Dual SIM. The phone is priced at Rs 10,700 ($170) and features 4.7-inch display, 1.7GHz octa-core processor, and Android 4.4 KitKat.
