Huawei has officially launched its long awaiting budget smartphones earlier today, the Ascend P8 and P8 Max. The device will start shipping from next month with each carrying a price tag of €599 ($587 USD) and €649 ($641 USD) respectively.
The Huawei Ascend P8 also known as Huawei P8 is an upgraded series of Ascend P7 that was launched in May last year. While the Ascend P7 comes in different versions such as Ascend P7 Arsenal Edition, Ascend P7 Sapphire Edition with slight changes we expect more versions of P8 to sprout out very soon.

The P8 and P8 Max touts a premium aluminium body, trimmed to highlight full body texture on the outside with glowing edge. The first is 6.4mm thick while the later comes with a thickness of 6.8mm.

The device offers smart dual-SIM functionality, the second SIM slot can be use as external storage which will gladly accept any MicroSD card insert in it with capacity below 64GB. Both SIMs also support 4G LTE Cat.6 that can renders a download speed of up to 300Mbps. The Huawei P8 features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with Emotion UI 3.1.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by Huawei own octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 935 (4-core 2 GHz Cortex-A53 + 4-
core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53) processor coupled with Mali-T628 MP4 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It comes in two storage variants, 16GB and 64GB, both of which can be expanded via MicroSD card (SIM 2 slot).
At the rear, the Huawei P8 is equipped with a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus, OIS (optical image stabilization), and dual-tone LED flash while it sports an 8-megapixel selfie-enabled front camera. Connectivity options included with Huawei P8 are 3G (HSPA), 2G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, Wifi with Hotspot, GLONASS, NFC, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2680mAh battery.
The Huawei P8 will be available in four different colors Titanium Grey, Mystic Champagne, Prestige Gold, and Carbon Black.

On the other hand, the P8 Max comes with a larger 6.8-inch IPS display with a full-HD (1080p) resolution which is protected by Corning latest Gorilla Glass 4. It offers smart dual-SIM functionality with 4G LTE Cat.6 just like P8 and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with Emotion UI 3.1.
It is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 935 (4-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 +
4-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53) processor slammed with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T628 MP4 GPU. The Huawei P8 Max sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, OIS, and dual-tone LED flash while it houses a 5-megapixel front camera. Much like its junior, it packs a 16GB/64GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via MicroSD card (SIM 2 slot).
Connectivity options included are Wifi with Hotspot, DLNA, Bluetooth, 3G (HSPA), 2G, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 4360mAh battery.
