Huawei has followed Gionee trail to Nigeria to debuts its first exclusive smartphone in the region dubbed G Power. The firm has partnered with one of Africa largest e-commerce website Jumia in announcing the new device which was unveiled earlier today. However, its pricing and availability details are still kept under-wraps. The Huawe G Power is available for pre-order on Jumia.
As the name suggest, the Huawei G Power packs a gigantic 4,000mAh battery that can last for days in single charge, which is the main highlight. To make things even sweeter, it comes with a reversible USB Type-C port that can be use to charge other USB enabled device such as portable speakers, bluetooth headsets and phones. Also, getting the juice back in the battery is made convenient with fast charging onboard.

Specwise, the G Power features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS capacitive touchscreen display with 294ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. There is a 16GB of built-in storage onboard which is further expandable via MicroSD card.
The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with Huawei Emotion 3.1 UI and offers dual SIM functionality. Sitting at the rear is a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with a LED flash, while a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens camera is placed at the front. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, GPS and FM radio.
Last week, Gionee exclusively launched Marathon M5 in Nigeria. It also features a 5-inch HD display; packs a 4,000mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.
