Huawei Ascend Mate 7 Monarch Edition

Huawei on Friday added a new series to its recently launched Ascend Mate 7 in China dubbed as Ascend Mate 7 Monarch Edition. The phablet is priced at CNY 4399 (Roughly $710 USD) and will be available starting from January 2015.

You will hardly notice any difference when looking both devices on the outside, they features same specifications but the only difference is the first which is Ascend Mate 7 comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection while the Ascend Mate 7 Monarch Edition screen is made of Sapphire glass. This is not the first time Huawei will be launching same phone with different screen display, we are quite familiar with Ascend P7 Sapphire Edition which is the second series of the original Ascend P7 that was launched in May.

Huawei Ascend Mate 7 Monarch Edition Specifications

The Ascend Mate 7 Monarch Edition features a 6-inch full-HD (1080*1920 pixels) display touting a pixel density of 368ppi and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 925 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and packs a 32GB built-in storage that is expandable via MicroSD card (up to 128GB).

The phablet sports a 13-megapixel rear snapper with Sony BSI sensor and LED flash while it also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity front, the Ascend Mate 7 Monarch Edition support 4G LTE Cat.6, Wifi 802.11ac, 3G, GPS/A-GPS amd NFC. It is backed by a 4100mAh battery.
