The phones are provided with external storage expansion slots, but these does not use the regular MicroSD card. The firm introduced a new NM (Nano Memory) card storage for the device, claimed to be 25% smaller than the standard MicroSD card. With the memory card the phones can be further expanded up to 256GB. However, there is no details regarding its features, pricing and availability at the moment. The NM card shared the same slot with the secondary SIM card slot.

The triple rear cameras are arranged in grid layout and they use what Huawei called “Matrix camera system”. The Mate 20 Pro also supports 15W fast wireless charging and Wireless Reverse Charging, which the Mate 20 lacked.
