Huawei earlier this month launched Mate 9 and a super variant of the device called Porsche Design Mate 9 in Europe, today, the company has introduced another smartphone under its “Mate” line-up called Mate 9 Pro, in China. The new device sports nearly identical specs (minus the built-in storage) with the Porsche Design Mate 9 on the inside but on the outside, the Mate 9 Pro body is made of metal material and doesn’t have the exclusive graphite finish the Porsche Design edition boasts of.
The Mate 9 Pro features a 5.5-inch Quad-HD display; is powered by an octa-core Kirin 960 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM; sports dual 20MP + 12MP rear cameras and 8MP front camera, and is backed by a 4000mAh battery. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box, packs a fingerprint scanner beneath the home button, and supports hybrid dual SIM.
