iBall has launched a revamped edition of its 2-in-1 hybrid tablet, Slide WQ149R, in India, which now runs Windows 10 out-of-the-box instead of Windows 8.1 as the previous edition. It wears a price tag of Rs 16,499 ($247 USD) and will be available in coming days.
Another notable feature of the new edition of iBall Slide WQ149R is the possession of an internal HDD (Hard Disk Drive) slot that can accommodates a 2.5-inch SATA Hard Drive with a capacity of up to 1TB. This makes it the world’s first 10.1-inch 2-in-1 tablet to offer such functionality.

In terms of specifications, the device features a 10.1-inch IPS display with WXGA (1280 x 800 pixels) resolution, and offers 10-point multitouch support. It is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor with a clock speed of 1.33GHz that can turbo boost up to 1.8GHz, paired with 2GB of DDR3 RAM.
It houses a 32GB of built-in storage, which can be further expanded via MicroSD card (up to 64GB) apart from the internal HDD option. A 5-megapixel autofocus camera is equipped at the rear without LED flash, while it bears a 2-megapixel camera at the front.
On the connectivity front, the Slide WQ149R new edition support Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 3G (built-in stick), Micro-USB, Micro-HDMI, and OTG. It is backed by a 7,800mAh battery.
