If you wish to register for JAMB 2020, then you need to first send your NIN to 55019. Then, a profile code will be sent to you.

If you have sent your NIN but you failed to receive the profile code as SMS on your phone, then here are 7 suggestions to solve the issue and receive your JAMB profile code immediately.

The 7 solutions I will be revealing in this article were able to solve this issue for some candidates that complained earlier, I am sure you will find them helpful if your JAMB profile code SMS is not working or does not exist.

How To Solve Issue Of JAMB Profile Code 2020 Not Received

TIP 1.

The first suggestion is to ensure that you send your NIN to 55019, and not your name. 

Until this year, candidates used to send their Names to 55019. However, this has changed this year has JAMB has made NIN use compulsory.

TIP 2.

Use the SIM card that is attached to your NIN to send the SMS i.e send the SMS using the phone number that you used to register for your National Identification Number (NIN).

TIP 3.

Ensure you have sufficient airtime on your line. To get your JAMB profile, you need to have at least One Hundred and Fifty Naira (N150) on your SIM card. Receiving JAMB profile code is not free.

So, if you don’t have airtime, make sure you recharge your line and try again.

TIP 4.

Use a SIM card that has NEVER been used to request and/or get JAMB profile code. When I say NEVER been used, I mean no one (not this year, not last year or any year before) has used it to request and/or get before.

This particular tip has solved the problem for many candidates.

TIP 5.

Ensure that the NIN is correct, and that you are not sending your tracking ID number instead of NIN.

TIP 6.

If you have not received your profile code despite getting a message like “your request is being processed”, then send RESEND to 55019.

Ensure your SIM card can send an SMS. The issue with some SIM cards is that they cannot even sent SMS (not to 55019 only but a general issue).

Another tip is to try to send an SMS to a known line and see if they received the message. If they did not, then the problem is with your line.

  1. I sent the so called RESULT to the number given by jamb and I was told that the number I used to register has already been used, after then a profile code was sent to me and I don’t know what to do with it.
    Please enlighten me

    1. Answer these questions so I can find out what the problem is.

      1. Did you have at least N50 airtime on your SIM when you sent the SMS?
      2. Was the message delivered successfully and you did not receive the code or the message was not sent at all?
