The service said the case records of 299 suspected hoodlums captured by the police are being set up on charges of arson, murder, taking, noxious harm of properties, attack, and so forth
In a statement on Saturday, the Director, Public Affairs, Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Kayode Oyekanmi, said the state’s Director of Public Prosecutions, Olayinka Adeyemi with pertinent police development had gone round to “assess records of those captured by the police with the end goal of deciding those that have at first sight body of evidence made against them.”
The statement peruses to some degree, “200 and 29 (229) suspects were captured by the police for different criminal offenses, going from arson, murder, taking, vindictive harm of properties, and attack when the state-wide time limit forced by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to reestablish peace.
“After the assessment work out, those that have cases to answer will be charged under the watchful eye of the courts on Monday, while the arrival of those that have no case to answer will be guaranteed.
“Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN) while approaching Lagosians to look after harmony, law, and request in their particular networks, vowed the responsibility of the state government to maintain the standard of law consistently.”
Prior to Saturday, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu circumvented the state to evaluate the destruction in certain pieces of the state following the consuming of numerous public and private properties by hoodlums.
