Meizu has added a new flagship smartphone to its premium collections in China named Blue Charm Metal, wrapped in a unibody metal alloy. The device comes in two storage variants, 16GB and 32GB, priced at CN¥ 1099 ($170 USD) and CN¥ 1299 ($204 USD) respectively. It will be available for pre-orders starting today in China after which it will roll out in first week November. Availability for international market is not mentioned.
The Meizu Blue Charm Metal features a 5.5-inch LTPS 2.5D curved display with full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, protected by T2X-1 glass. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor clocked at 2.0GHz alongside with 2GB of RAM and PowerVR G6200 GPU. Notably, the Blue Charm Metal is Meizu first smartphone to run YunOS, Alibaba mobile operating system platform, which is further enhanced by the company’s own Flyme OS 5.

The device offers hybrid dual-SIM functionality that enable second SIM slot to be use as MicroSD card. It has a fingerprint sensor placed underneath the physical home button which Meizu called mTouch 2.1 for smart security and authentication. In camera aspect, it sports a 13-megapixel sensor with Phase Detection Auto Focus, f/2.2 aperture and LED flash at the rear, while a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture sits at the front.
Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi 802.11ac, 4G LTE, 3G (HSPA+), 2G, GPS, and Micro-USB. A huge 3140mAh battery turn it on.
