Meizu has launched a new budget smartphone in an event that takes place in China, M2, which is the successor of M1 that launched earlier this year. The phone wears a price cap of CN¥ 559 ($96 USD) and it will be available for pre-orders starting from today. Global availability is not mentioned.
The Meizu M2 support hybrid dual-SIM that enables second SIM slot to be use as MicroSD card. Also, both SIM slot support 4G LTE. It features a 5-inch HD ( 1280 x 720) display with scratch-resistant glass and runs Flyme OS 4.5 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

Diving in, the device is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM. It includes a 16GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via MicroSD card (up to 128GB). The Meizu M2 houses a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, while a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture is placed at the front. Notably, the camera lens is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone support 4G LTE, 3G (HSPA+), Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB, and GLONASS. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
The Meizu M2 comes in four different colors Blue, Grey, Pink and White.
