Microsoft has launched its latest Lumia smartphone in India, the Lumia 540 Dual SIM. The phone will be available starting from 18th of May with a price tag of Rs 10,199 ($160 USD) at both offline and online retailer outlets.
The Lumia 540 was first announced in April but is yet to reach many regions including Nigeria. It features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and runs Windows Phone 8.1 with Denim Update out-of-the-box which according to the firm will be upgradeable to Windows 10.

The dual-SIM enabled Lumia 540 is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor clocked at 1.2GHz alongside with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage which is expandable via MicroSD card (up to 128GB). It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and packs a 5-megapixel selfie-enabled camera at the front.
Connectivity options included are Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, 2G, GPS, Micro-USB, and FM radio. It is backed by a 2200mAh battery. Microsoft offers free Office 365 subscription and 30GB of OneDrive cloud storage with every single purchase. The Lumia 540 Dual-SIM comes in White, Cyan, Orange, and Black color variants.
