The Nigerian Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick became the second Nigerian to be elected into the world football governing council after Amos Adamu.
The Nigerian Football Federation President was elected during CAF’s General Assembly which took place in Rabat, Morocco today (Friday), following several withdrawals prior to the elections. Pinnick and Malawi’s Walter Nyamilandu were the only two candidates left from the English-speaking country block.
One of the biggest contenders Andrew Kamanga of Zambia pulled out of the race two days ago to clear the path for Pinnick to swoop for his votes.
