NYSC: 138 Corps Members Test Positive For COVID-19 – NCDC

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has stated that 138 members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) had so far tested positive for COVID-19.

Chikwe Ihekweazu, Director General, NCDC, said this at the public preparation on COVID-19 on Monday in Abuja.

Mr. Ihekweazu said none of the individuals who tested positive were permitted into the camps.

As per him, 34,785 corps members and members of the camp networks have been tested with 138 turning positive speaking to 0.4 percent commonness.

“It implies one out of 200 individuals,” he clarified.

The NCDC manager said the individuals who tested positive were either overseen at home or in a treatment community, in the event that they had indications and what state they were in.
